Raffle for Nepal Emergency Fund

Nyatapola Temple, Bhaktapur, Nepal 10 x 20″ Mixed Media
Nyatapola Temple, Bhaktapur, Nepal 10 x 20″ Mixed Media

In light of the recent devastation in Nepal, that has claimed the lives of over 6,000 of its people,  I am asking that you give whatever you can afford. Your name will go into a raffle which will take place on Sunday 10th May and you could own this painting.   I will donate 100% of the proceeds to the Nepal emergency fund.

Having recently visited Nepal, I have painted Nyatapola Temple which is a 5-story pagoda located in Bhaktapur, Nepal. The temple was erected  1701. It is the temple of Siddha Laxmi, the Hindu goddess of prosperity, an iconic building that has survived the recent earthquake. I view this as  a sign of strength and hope for the Nepalese people.

The painting will accompany me to  The Peoples Art  open air art festival which  takes place next weekend in  St. Stephens Green, Dublin city centre Friday 8th to Sunday 10th May 2015.

You can donate through my account with Paypal – [email protected] alternatively, come visit me at the Peoples Art next weekend.

Stay tuned here at www.donnamcgee.ie  and I will let you know how much we have raised together for Nepal.

Please share and show your support for this worthy cause.

hi Donna. I was shocked and horrified when I saw the devastation caused by the earthquake as I enjoyed the tour we where on last November. great idea to raise funds. had already send a donation before I got your email. best of luck with the fundraising.

    1. Thank you Susan and lovely to hear from you – it breaks my heart to see the devastation in Nepal and the loss of all of those lives. Hoping my gesture will make some small difference!
