Busy preparing for upcoming shows and this is one of my latest creations from my “Transcendence Series” entitled Cascading Depths.
Cascading Depths painting is from a series of abstract landscapes. Mixing my favourite colours – those earthy, autumn blends of colour that nature presents are very pleasing and offer a comforting warmth for me. I build up many layers of shapes and form with a palette knife, brushes and even my fingers can play a part in the process until I am satisfied with the final result.
Does this painting invite you in?
Is it a journey deep into the woodland
a cascading waterfall?
What does it say to you – I would love to hear from you.
It certainly is a work day! The RDS Hall where the show takes place turns into a building site. Everyone has a job to do and every tool is put to full use. Within the space of a few hours, chaos turns into a certain type of order.
Just a few finishing touches for tomorrow.
The lighting will be on.
There will be a place for everything with everything in its place!
We slip out quietly carrying our quota of tools – drills and ladders and God knows what else!
We have a nice presentation (I hope) on our Stand N40.
This stand is right beside all the talks on interior design etc.
Tomorrow I shall enjoy listening to all those tips. See more here
Come along over the weekend and see / hear what the Ideal Home Show can offer you and be sure to drop by my stand at N40 and say hello.
You just might find that perfect piece of art to make your home the Ideal Home.
Still lots of finishing touches to be done, not to mention planning and organising but it’s all very exciting stuff.
The only thing to do :
Create a checklist!
How is the framer getting on with all the new work I gave him?
Check with printer – enough business cards? greeting cards?
Labels / name tags / prices ….
Layout – now that’s a big one to decide – what goes where and which paintings sit best together?
Will everything be ready on time ?
and on it goes …..
I am excited about the collection I will have at my Stand N40.
It will be an eclectic mix of paintings that I think you will like.
There will certainly be something for everyone.
This really is a great opportunity to get ahead of the posse as regards Christmas – shhhhh! (I am whispering here), but this IS the place to go to make your design changes for your home, or to get that unique gift for Christmas before all the madness starts.
So do stop by my stand and take time for a chat.
Remember, the show runs for four days, so come and say hello – and if you’ve missed the deadline to download free tickets, send me a message, and I will be happy to send some on to you.
Each Sunday, Merrion Square, in the heart of Georgian Dublin, is transformed into a vast al fresco art gallery. For art collectors or those seeking a cultural experience, a visit to Merrion Square Open Air Art Gallery is a great way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon. The causal and eclectic atmosphere is hard to beat.
