Cambodia is one of the poorest countries today.  They carry painful memories  of the radical communist Khmer Rouge’s time in power under the leadership of Pol Pot between 1975 and 1978, when two million people died in the regime’s brutal pursuit of a rural utopia.  This is still very evident in their culture.  Their focus now is to build on tourism and the garment trade.

It was a pleasure to visit Cambodia and their beautiful people.
