Following the completion of a course in:

Creative & Cultural Entrepreneurship

I was pleased to be invited by Aideen Glass  who is the Marketing & Communications Manager (Interim)

Tangent | Trinity’s Ideas Workspace

to participate in a social media campaign to meet the  #futureshapers series.

The story so far:

I started the course in January of this year and it was good to be a student again. I was to delve into interesting subjects like Critical Thinking and Growth Mindsets, Journey Mapping and lots more. In no time at all, Covid 19 had struck and Trinity College dealt swiftly with getting the course up online. As a result, no time was lost in proceeding with the learning discovery.

It was such an enjoyable experience to meet other creatives from actors; writers; potters; photographers; story-tellers; designers, artists like myself and the list went on. What an inspiring bunch of people, thrown together, unleashing their creativity. Coming up with all kinds of great ideas through project collaborations and workshops.

I believe, when in challenging times, real determination and resilience emerges. People look for creative ways to make things work. We communicated through the college system Blackboard, regular Zoom meetings, WhatsApp messages / calls – every communication method available was explored. We managed to have fun too, along the way.

The tutors were generous with their time and efforts in delivering such a fun way of learning. Each tutor had great contributions to make in their specialised fields of knowledge. Special thanks go out to Karl Thomas PhD and Gillian Roddie and many more.

This course is highly recommended. As Peter Drucker, Management Consultant, Educator and Author says:

“The best way to predict your future, is to create it”

This course can be a life changing experience, that is, if you allow it to be – open your mind to the possibilities, have fun and let your creativity flow.

So, let the fun begin continue!
