Look through the garden on a summers day, see the fuchsia coloured leaves rise up.
This painting is created by the encaustic process or hot wax painting with coloured pigments. It contains beeswax and damar resin. It is a particularly satisfying medium to use and during the drying process (which is very quick) you can use many tools, scrapers and brushes to shape the medium. A blow torch or heat gun moves the wax around the surface. I loved creating this painting
