Goats Island

Goats Island beach is located about 3 miles west of Ardmore in County Waterford, Ireland. The inlet where the beach is located faces south and is sheltered to the west side by the island.

The beach can be found via a windy lane signposted for Goat Island – a hidden inlet revealing a magical cove and well worth a visit.  Hope you like my interpretation of this special place.

Goats Island

The painting was done in stages and painted in oils.  I am honoured to tell you that it also featured in a solo exhibition called “A Better Place” and was selected by  Waterford Healing Arts Trust in University Hospital Waterford.  The exhibition “A Better Place”  had the aim of making the hospital a better place for patients, visitors and staff during the times of Covid.  The exhibition was kindly supported by the Arts Council.

Also worth checking out is the coastline between Tramore and Dungarvan which is known as the Copper Coast and it’s one of the most beautiful, unspoilt scenic drives in Ireland. Also another favourite of mine is Dunmore East which is a picturesque little fishing village in the east of County Waterford

Is this an original painting?

Yes, this painting is an original oil painting created by me, Donna McGee and it contains my signature on the front.

Is the painting ready to hang?

Yes, the painting is presented in a white wooden frame with double mount and has a chord on the back making it ready to hang.  All you need is the picture hook on the wall for placement.

What are the measurements of the painting?

The measurements of the painting are 30 x 40 inches and 39 x 49 inches overall including the frame.  This is a large statement piece that will compliment any room
